More yard work

On the weekend we worked on our geothermal bed.  We spent hours tilling, then G dragged a heavy pole around it to get it level.  If it ever rains, we will see if it is smooth enough or if there are areas where the water sets. In the Fall we will plant the grass seed.  At least we will be ready.  Yesterday I put weed killer on my entire lawn.  I have a sprayer that I pull behind the garden tractor.  It is quite dry here with very little rain in the forecast so it probably will not be  lush green color.  At least our livelihood does not depend on rain like it does for the farmers.

Gardening is a bit like painting the Forth Bridge(Scotland) - as soon as you have finished painting it, you have to go back to the start and paint it again.

lawns seem like a lot more work than they're worth. Could you let it go natural?

I'm with you Alexis. They're actually green deserts.
