Visiting the Raptor Center

A camera club I have joined had a trip to a local raptor center.  They take in injured birds, nurse them to health and if they can survive in the wild, release then.  Otherwise this is their permanent home.

This picture shows the "houses" that the birds live in.

We have Red Tailed Hawks like this in our woods.

Love this guy's expression.

What do you think this buzzard is thinking?  Dinner?

This eagle cannot be released.  This is his home now.

It takes the breath away when you see one of these birds. I've always found them so beautiful. What a cool visit.

I follow Decorah eagles webcam on Ustream TV - if you like raptors this can become addictive
