Outdoor movie

The Cleveland Orchestra has their summer concerts at the Blossom Music Center which is an outdoor amphitheater. It seats 6,000 in the pavilion and 13,000 on the lawn. On Saturday we were part of the 13,000. The movie, Pirates of the Caribbean (first one I think), was shown on large screens while the Orchestra played the music and a choral group sang. I enjoyed it, but had not seen the movie so was concentrating on the story so often missed the music part. Since this was such a popular movie, there were a lot of people there. A few were dressed like Johnny Depp.

I love events like those! Such a great initiative to get folks interesting in classical music.

Saw the first Pirates film at a rather posh cinema when I took B for a birthday treat - long time ago. Your outdoor viewing with live music sounds a much better experience. I haven't seen anything like this set up advertised in the UK - but our summer wearther is so unpredictable, except for the rain!
